London Marathon 2026
London Marathon 2026
13th Feb 2026 marks the 10 year anniversary of Jonny’s sudden passing. He suffered an epileptic seizure and sadly passed away after just turning 25. Chris will be running the 2026 London Marathon on behalf of Epilepsy Reasearch UK raising funds for them. At the moment there is no cure for epilepsy and it is a largely unspoke about condition. Running in aid of epilespy will hopefully slightly raise the profile of this condition and raise much needed funds for the charity. It is a privelidge to be given the opportunity to run in the marathon especially on such a milestone year for all of our family.
The heartbreak of losing a loved one, family member, friend, or someone we know never goes away and to be able to do something good for charity along with remembering our brother is an honour.
I hope to run the marathon in a competitive sub 3 hour 30 minute time. The cold and wet training is probably worse than the actual marathon will be, however putting in the hours now will hopefully pay dividends come race day. There are days when I don’t feel like getting up and getting out putting the miles in or hitting the gym. These are the ones that count. Life sometimes gets tough and how you handle yourself speaks volumes about your character. So to everyone, remember. Times get tough, we have down days and dark days. These are the hardest. But put in the effort, get up, get active, have a strong mindset and you can achieve and overcome.
For anyone able to donate however much you can afford this would be grately appreciated. Link below-
