That preparation covers three areas: a habitation service (the equivalent of an MOT for the living area, checking LPG, water, and electrical systems are safe to use), a full mechanical inspection (engine, brakes, and onboard appliances), and a damp check using specialist moisture-detection tools on the areas most prone to leaks, windows, doors, and seals. Any repairs or bodywork are carried out to manufacturer procedure before a vehicle is listed. Our aftersales team offers ongoing habitation servicing, mechanical work, and damp checks for as long as you own the vehicle, and we recommend a service every year or every 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. If your motorhome needs work, we offer secure overnight parking while it’s with us, a courtesy car where available, and the option to hire a motorhome from our fleet so a service doesn’t have to mean a cancelled trip.

Finance and Part-Exchange Options

Most motorhome buyers don’t pay cash upfront: over 90% of UK leisure vehicle purchases now involve finance, and we offer the same options on used stock as we do on new. Hire Purchase (HP) spreads the cost over fixed monthly payments until the vehicle is yours outright, while Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) keeps monthly payments lower with a final balloon payment if you choose to own the vehicle at the end. Choosing the Right Layout

The first thing to consider is how many berths you need: 2-berth or low-profile motorhomes suit couples and shorter trips, while 4 and 6-berth or A-Class models give families separate sleeping and living areas. After that, think about how you’ll actually use the vehicle. A fixed bed layout suits full-time or long-stay use, while a drop-down or rear-lounge layout gives more daytime living space at the cost of nightly bed-making. Weight matters too: some layouts and years fall under 3,500kg and can be driven on a standard car licence, while heavier or older coachbuilt models may need a different licence category depending on when you passed your test.
