Once all the payments are made, including the option to purchase at the end of the agreement term, the motorhome becomes yours outright. This method not only simplifies acquiring a motorhome but also aids in managing your financial planning without the immediate burden of the full purchase price.
Personal Contract Purchase
Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) finance for motorhomes is an increasingly popular option for those looking to keep their monthly payments lower while retaining the flexibility to decide on ownership at the end of the agreement. With PCP, you pay an initial deposit followed by lower monthly payments over a set term, typically between two to five years.
The key feature of PCP is the final balloon payment, known as the Guaranteed Future Value (GFV), which is calculated at the start based on the estimated residual value of the motorhome at the end of the term. This setup allows you to either pay the GFV to own the motorhome outright, return it and walk away (subject to mileage and condition restrictions), or part-exchange it for a new vehicle, using any equity beyond the GFV as a deposit for the next agreement. This makes PCP a versatile financial tool for managing both budget and vehicle choice effectively.
